Apple Will “Give” Ads Depending on Users Mood

In an application, submitted to American Patent Bureau, Apple company has described a system that may select content, particularly advertisements, to users’ mood.

The “Market Leader” has found out that a person’s mood will be defined by his activity. By all appearances, the system monitors the songs listened to, the applications started, the videos watched, and the web-pages opened.

Besides, external factors may be taken into consideration – pulse, face expression, and even calendar date.

The basic profile of the mood will be compiled on the basis of collected data, and the system will select content on the basis of this profile.

Let us admit that the patent application, called “defining users’ mood on the basis of characteristic data about a group and a user”, has been sent to USPTO by the company on January 23, 2013.

It should be kept in mind that not all patented technologies are brought into life. For example, a flexible battery and a camera with a function of post focus, patented by Apple, have not yet been implemented in any device.
