Apple Creates Content Delivery Network







Frost & Sullivan, a US business consulting company, has released an analytic report which reads that Apple is about to start developing network infrastructure in order to control users and their content. In particular, Apple is already working on a content delivery network. This network will be used to distribute the content from App Store iTunes and other Apple projects including iCloud.
 


At this point, Apple hasn't made any official statement concerning the issue. Still, the experts working for the consulting firm are sure that the work is already underway. The thing is that Apple hired many experts in communications and network engineering. Today, Apple is outsourcing content delivery tasks to such companies as Level 3 Communications and Akamai Technologies.
