ZTE is planning to consolidate its
position in the rapidly growing market of personal electronic gadgets.
The company specializes in the production of smartphones. However, the
recent press release published by the company reads that ZTE is planning
to develop and introduce its own version of a smart watch in 2014.
Market Leader previously reported
about the fact that smart watches are being currently developed by other
tech giants, including Sony, Samsung, Apple etc. Still, ZTE is planning
to produce low-cost devices, which are expected to be in great demand
worldwide.
At the same time, experts assume that
over the next few years the price of such gadgets will be decline while
their functionality will definitely be expanded.
Still, ZTE hasn't specified the
approximate release date for the next year. However, they say the first
commercial model will come into the Western market.
