A couple of days ago, Google announced
a new purchase. This time, the corporation purchased a tiny private
company involved in the creation and development of artificial
intellect. The company is called DeepMind.
At this point, the price of the deal
is kept secret. However, according to some experts, the price may go up
to $400 million. Still, the company hasn’t commented on the matter so
far.
For reference sake, DeepMind is a
UK-based private company founded in 2012 in London by a couple of
programmers. At this point, the company is involved in developing
self-learning algorithms and apps for them, including games, electronic
commerce systems and simulators.
Google needs such companies in order
to expand and intensify its own similar projects. Last year, Google was
actively purchasing tech companies al over the globe in order to expand
and consolidate its position in the industry and to become number 1 tech
giant.
