Samsung Introduces Powerful mSATA-SSD For Tablet PCs 13 December 07:22 AM

Samsung likes experimenting and introducing various interesting devices and gadgets. This time, South-Korean giant decided to impress the audience with an HDD instead of a smartphone or a tablet.
 
 mSATA SSD is a brand-new series of SSDs. Samsung mSATA 840 EVO. This device can boast 1 terabyte of storage capacity. It weighs 8,5g and is 3,85mm thin.
 
The new mSATA SSD is better than other SSDs in many aspects. It is lighter and thinner. This is why mSATA SSDs can be used in tablets and ultrabooks. The mSATA derive is based on NAND chipsets with high data writing density.
 
The speed of reading os 540Mb/s while the speed of writing is 520Mb/s. The devices will come with different storage capacity form 120Gb to 1000Gb.
 
The sales are expected to start next week. The device is likely to be rather expensive.
By the way, not so long ago, Samsung introduced another smartphone. It is called Samsung Galaxy J. it has a metal body.
