ZTE is reported to be planning to
start the production of its own smart watch in the near future. Market
Leader reports that the devices may come into market in Q2 2014.
According to the official
representatives of ZTE, the smart watch will be able to make rival to
Galaxy Gear. Still, the major benefit will be the lower cost of ZTE's
device.
If the sales are successful in the domestic (Chinese) market, the company will definitely start the sales in the EU and the USA.
The device will probably be compatible
only with ZTE smartphones. However, the developers assure us that the
smart watch will become compatible with all Android- powered mobile
devices in the near future.
