Qualcomm, a company specializing in computer electronics, is
reported to start the official sales of a smart watch on December 2nd.
The device is called Qualcomm Toq. It will cost $350. At this point,
there is no information about the retailers. The series is likely to be
reserved.
Qualcomm is the leader in terms of manufacturing chips for
smartphones and tablets. The sales were announced earlier this fall. The
device can definitely boast decent hardware specifications. The smart
watch can be used as a standalone devices or as another display for an
Android-powered smartphone or tablet. The interaction will be based on
Bluetooth and a special app that will be available in Google Play in the
near future.
Still, the devices is powered by a separate operating system. The display is manufactured by means of Qualcomm's own technology called Mirasol. The devices consumes less energy and can by used even in the direct sunlight.
At
the same time, the representatives of the tech company say the device
isn't a beneficial product for them bu t it is necessary to develop the
hi-tech market.
