Microsoft Gets Interested In Purchasing Winamp

According to several unofficial sources, Microsoft, the world-famous tech software giant, is reported to be interesting in purchasing Winamp. At this point, Microsoft is having talks with AOL.

Market Leader reports that on top of being interested in the media player, Microsoft seem to be showing great interest in SHOUTcast, audio-video streaming software, which is also owned by AOL. The software was developed by Nullsoft, the same company that developed Winamp.
At this point, the sum of the deal is kept secret since the talks between the two companies are still underway.  For informational sake, AOL bought Nullsoft in 1999 for $80 million.
