People get better-off. Can it provoke a food crisis?
During the recent summit in Washington the Chinese and American presidents discussed various geopolitical and economic questions, includinga possible food crisis. The question is topical for both the countries (US and China) as they are the world’s biggest producers and consumers of foodstuffs. So, the growing consumption and demand for food have become a burden (free croplands are not enough as production grows).
